The Palace of Fine Arts

In the Marina District of San Francisco there is the old Panama Pacific Exposition building of 1915. An event dedicated to progress and celebrating the completion of the Panama Canal. "ruins" called the Palace of Fine Arts. The original building was only meant to be a temporary structure but it was beloved buy the citizens of SF and so it was created as a permanent structure in 1967.
