I have a term called "sick love". I apply it to things that are strange, tacky, gaudy, etc. that perhaps I ought not love but do anyways. Enter exhibit 1. the flower domed lamp. It could go slightly Victorian or kitchy 70's. And with the modern eclectic design theory of throw rubbish and high end together in a white box and you have something magical this could just work.
This brass pendant light is from the Chicago store Jayson Home and Garden. Apparently it hails from Argentina. As Europe is bled dry of vintage and antique treasure South America is stepping up with fab finds.
